Margaret has been practising since 1998 as a personal injuries and insurance litigator with a particular emphasis on Employees’ Compensation, Personal Injury and Fatal Cases and Insurance related cases.

Margaret’s experience also includes handling the following types of cases:

• General Litigation (landlord and tenant disputes; contractual disputes; employment disputes; intellectual property disputes; and debt collection)
• Commercial Litigation & Insolvency Practice (partnership disputes; acted for receiver of dissolved partnership; and acted for liquidators realizing assets of companies)

• Insurance Litigation principally acted for insurance companies in employees’ compensation insurance claims and motor insurance claims
• Advised insurance companies on policy coverage and policy wordings
• Insolvency Practice acted for liquidators advising on corporate liquidation procedure
• Devised Scheme of arrangement for companies on verge of liquidation
• Defamation claim applying for interlocutory injunction; and debt recovery
• Drafting loan agreement and guarantee; advising on terms of employment contract

1998: Admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of HKSAR and continued at Messrs W.K. To & Co. as an assistant solicitor

2001: Joined Messrs Deacons as an assistant solicitor

2004: Re-joined Messrs W.K. To & Co. as a senior assistant solicitor

2005: Re-joined Deacons as an assistant solicitor

2007: Joined the Department of Justice as a senior government counsel

2008: Joined Munros as a partner

2013: Joined Messrs Szwina Pang and Edward Li & Co. as a partner

2014: Joined Messrs Winnie Mak, Chan & Yeung as a partner
